Crossfit Kids

Kids need activity! Not only is it great for their bodies, but also their minds and their self-esteem. Too many kids are inactive these days and I am trying to fix that, one kid at a time.

Kids need to run, jump, roll, push, pull, swing, throw...and play. All of this makes for good fitness and lots of fun as kids compete with each other and also learn to support each other.

Eugene Crossfit does not yet have a Crossfit Kids program, but it is definatly in the works.  The CrossFit Kids program is designed to get kids fit through challenging physical activity. Every class starts with the CrossFit Kids warm-up, followed by the physical training portion, and then ending with a game or race.

Challenging physical activity will develop general motor skills, flexibility, strength, speed and a healthy mental state; not to mention give kids a great outlet to release their high energy. Learning how to have healthy competition, to work hard/play hard, to work with others and to support others, are all valuable lessons to learn.

Since the exercises are functional full body movements, kids will be able to use this training to enhance their current fitness level and support any sport that they participate in at school.
