Do certain songs motivate you to take your workout to the next level? Are you tired of listening to Jeremy's song choices? Do you have a favorite "workout playlist" already created? Have you secretly wanted to be a D.J.? If you can answer yes to any of these questions then you're in the right place! We want you to enjoy every aspect of working out at Eugene Crossfit and that is why we created this music blog.
Feel free to create a new post AND/OR comment on this entry with your very own personal playlist submission and we'll try and have it played within the week (remember to include both the song title and artist name for each song so that we can find them on iTunes).
This blog's name is "Music" and you can contribute with your movable type login (exactly the same as when you've posted on the food blog). Just in case you've missed it, here are the directions again:
If you had an account to post comments on this blog before we changed over to the new comment system, you already have access to post on your blog. If not, follow the directions below in Step #1! If it still doesn't work, let me know. Yes, to make entries on this blog requires a different log-in than to comment, sorry. This might seem like a lot of instructions, but once you've done it once or twice it's really easy!
1.Click here to sign in Everyone should have access to their blog. If you had an account that worked to post comments way back when, use that user name. If you did not, use your account name from the MindBody Online Scheduling program BUT use the password I posted on the white board in the gym (if you're still having problems logging in, email me).
2.In the top right corner you should see a link called "System Overview" In the drop down list, choose "Blogs". THEN click on the name of your blog in the list. (ex: Debbie's blog is called "Debbie")
- If
you do not have this option, you are probably already on your blog's
page. You can tell what blog you are on by the tab in the top right
hand corner, underneath the "movable type" logo. If you are not on the
correct blog, click the arrow to the right of the blog title and choose
either the blog name you want, or if it's not listed, choose "Select
another blog."
3. You should see a big red button somewhere near the top left corner that says "Write Entry." Click this! If you do not see it, you can try looking In the top left of the page where you should see a picture of a house. Just to the right of it you should see "Create." Click that and then choose "Entry" from the drop down list.
4. A screen that looks similar to an email screen shows up where you can write your blog entry.
5. When you've finished typing out your entry, please also add any tag words in the "tags" field directly under your entry. Tag words are helpful to find a group of posts that all have similar content, for example you could use the tag "Fran" for each entry that has to do with Fran.
6. Next, just to the right of your entry you should see a section called "Publishing" Make sure that your status is set to "Published" (from the drop down menu). If it says "unpublished" then you will need to chose "published" from the drop down menu before your recipe will show up on the site.
7. You are also welcome to create categories for your posts. They are not necessary but provide yet another level of organization for your posts. I think of categories almost like folders. They are generally large groupings, but you can add sub-categories as well as have a post that fits into multiple categories. For instance, you might have the following categories: work outs, mood, food, motivation, set-backs (sub category: injuries, vacation).
8. Hit the blue "Save" button at the bottom and your entry will be published!
9. To view your new entry, there is a button in the white menu bar (same line as the "house" icon and the "create" menu we talked about earlier) that looks like a browser window (if you hover over it, it says "view site"). Click on that and a new window will pop up and show your site. You might need to refresh/reload the page if your new entry is not showing up. If refreshing doesn't work, you might need to republish your site (which is the circly arrows icon just to the left of the browser/view site icon). When viewing a newly published site, you may need to refresh/reload the page a few times before can see changes. If that still doesn't work, please email me!
