Getting Started

Getting Started

No matter who you are, you can get fitter--athlete, professor, fireman, parent, retired or busy; in shape, out of shape, super fit, bored with working out or can't get enough exercise.

Try something different. We'll coach you through ever-changing workouts that will challenge and thrill you. You'll work hard--and most likely, you'll exceed your expectations... no matter who you are.

Remember, there is no criteria to your showing up here.  We can modify everything to your ability so you can do this.  The best way to keep and stay motivated is to unleash that athlete inside.

How to get started

Contact us by email or phone, and we'll set up a FREE one hour intro session. To get new trainees comfortable with the skills and exercises, we ask that you start with Boot Camp, a month long program to help you learn all the ins and outs of Crossfit and how to do the movements safely and efficiently.

Our current times can be found on the homepage, on the left, directly under my email address and phone number.

We're available to answer any questions about our training before you sign up or at any other time. Send us an email or give us a call today to schedule your first session or ask us anything you need to know to get started.

Your free into session

Your trainer will ask you about your exercise history, medical history, special interests and concerns. You'll start learning how to do the basic movements our drills are built on, and we'll give you a workout.

Your first workout might include three sets of exercises such as nonweighted squats, light medicine-ball throws, rowing, and/or basic barbell or dumbbell lifts. Later workouts might include push-ups, pull-ups, jumping, 400-meter runs, and/or more advanced and rapid free-weight drills. We have an ever-growing repertoire of new and old exercises, combined in ever-changing ways, and always tailored to suit your abilities.

Many of our favorite exercises are not used in mainstream fitness programs. If they are, it is usually not with the intensity that provides cardio and strength training together. Besides providing this efficiency benefit, our trainers combine these and many other exercises in endless variety.

Intensity and speed mean different things to different people. Every person can be surprised by what he or she is capable of with the excellent training our coaches provide.

Warning

Don't try Eugene Crossfit if you want to keep the drudgery in your workouts. There are plenty of workout plans that deliver little results, are boring, and don't really have a goal in mind.

Crossfit is very bothersome for people who like workouts like these.

Crossfit will change the way you think about your workouts, and by doing that you see amazing results. You immediatly learn to love to workout, to push your body, to try new things. The program you recieve here will make you fitter faster than anything you can imagine. Every client that has given it a month will testify.

You don't have to be an athlete to come. Heck, you can be in the worst shape of your life, I scale you back and ramp it up at a steady and safe pace. You'll have the results that you never thought possible in no time. And once you get there, you'll be thirsty for more. (instead of yo-yoing)

Eugene Crossfit is NOT a gym. It is a fitness school. In time, along with getting fit, you will learn technique on everything, how to apply intensity, the aspects of fitness, how and what to eat, how to coach your fellow mates, recovery, motivation, virtuosity, flexibility and much more.

Give me a call or shoot me an email for your free 1 on 1 introductory session. Lets get started now.
