eCrossfit Challenge - July 1, 2009
Here is the data on our current Ecrossfit Challenge. This is a workout we did on May 20th.
The follow up for the challenge will be on July 20th. A gold, silver and bronze award will be given to the three most improved. Other prizes to be announced.
Challenge Workout:
"Grace"
135 pound Clean and Jerk, 30 reps
Use 95 pounds, 65 pounds or broomstick as needed. We will be simulating the games here. Whatever the workouts are in Aromas California, we will do here as well. We'll try to use the same time format, same workouts.
A few details about this day:
- The workouts will be scaled to your ability. More data when we get the workouts. #1 Goal is safety, and I'm not going to ruin anyone's progress by overloading them.
- The Friday before and Monday after will be rest days. (No classes)
- Treat these workouts like you would if you were at the games. Think about how you are going to taper yourself, what you are going to eat before and during, and how much sleep you are going to get. Talk to me if you need ideas.

Official Grand Opening Saturday May 9th
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5 pm, Saturday April 18th
Also! Two of our Crossfiters, Debbie and Kathy, are starting up their own business and throwing a Scentsy open house party on Saturday as well. You will have the opportunity to smell all 80 Scentsy scents and see several warmers. Scentsy candles make unique and beautiful gifts, especially for mom this Mother's Day. It's at Kathy's home (1125 Peascod Drive) from 2-4pm and I've heard there will be door prizes and delicious treats. These "non-candles" make great Mother's Day gifts so come support fellow Crossfitters!
If you want to compete in the games anytime in the next year or two, want to become a trainer or want to see Crossfit in a larger light I really recommend coming to this.
This year they are having qualifying events around the world. The northwest region and our qualifying events will be on May 16th in Seattle. I will be heading up there and I have 5-7 spots open in my van if you want to come along - either to participate or spectate.
This is not only for the fittest of the fit. Of course, only 4 men and 4 women will qualify for the games from this region, but folks come that do workouts non-rx'd and participate. If you have dreams of someday competing in the games I think this might be a priceless experience.
Participation cost is $75, I believe spectators get in free.
